A Special Widow’s Wish
Through this widow’s daughters we were able to learn more about how their mother was the sole breadwinner for their family since they were very young. They spoke about the struggle and perseverance shown by this widow to provide her daughters with a happy and stable life. Doing this required to to work well into her retirement age and required a great deal of faith.
In speaking with her daughters we were also able to discover that one of her life long wishes was to go on a cruise. So we arranged a meeting and were able to present her with this gift. It was heartwarming to see her excitement and gratitude and to see the joy in her daughters eyes as their mother was able to realize one of her life long dreams.
This wish was presented just before the covid19 shut downs, so the cruise will still happen, but will be slightly delayed. We’re excited to see her off when it happens and to help her prepare in the mean time.
